As a teacher and Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, I have witnessed firsthand the incredible journey of our students. At KV 2 Halwara, I lived my opportunities to the fullest. It’s been the journey that I would cherish for a long time. I learned how to establish the interpersonal skills that helped me throughout my journey at KVS. The alumni of this institution are a testament to the values and education we instilled in them, achieving success in diverse fields while giving back to the society. I am proud of the strong connections within our alumni community which continue to inspire the current students. Your achievements motivate the next generation to reach for their dreams. As Maya Angelou once said, “I can be changed by what happens to me. But I refuse to be reduced by it”. Let’s continue to support one another and uphold the spirit of KVS together.

Our country needs citizens like you to keep democracy alive! We need a society of dedicated people who think critically, develop a strong work ethic and create vibrant communities where everyone can thrive peacefully without fear and malice. Teachers work to motivate and inspire the young children who will fix the future.

I started my teaching career from KV 2 Halwara. This institution, all staff members and the loving students have always been close to my heart. So being a part of KV 2 Halwara alumni is a rare honour and privilege for me.

It’s often not easy to be a teacher, but there’s one certainty about being a teacher: It is always rewarding. Only a teacher can feel proud of the achievements of his/her taught without being jealous. I feel elated and proud when I get to hear the success stories of students. The best award is to know that I have managed to influence them in their journey.

There are dozens of reasons this profession is awesome; one of the most rewarding reasons is to teach and be a launch pad for the students when they enter the world. There is no better feeling in the world than helping a student reach their potential and face any challenge with success. Watching them grow to be emotionally intelligent and productive citizens is very heartening.

KV 2 Halwara is more than a workplace, it is a home – a safe haven, where there is constant encouragement, opportunities for students and teachers to gain exposure in various fields. The school does not focus on just academics but looks into developing deeper bonds outside the classroom. Students actively engage in all co-curricular activities that cater to their holistic development. The teachers encourage students to use their gifts and develop on their talents in being able to grow into well rounded human beings. On an everyday basis students are being challenged by a dedicated team of nurturing and professional teachers who work in unison to instil core values in every teaching.

Formation of KV 2 Alumni association as a formal and legal body has added a feather in the cap of this Vidyalaya. I congratulate those who made this happen! This will serve as a platform to reconnect and reach out with all those who have been a part of this prestigious institution. I am looking forward to seeing it grow and expand its wings in making this world a better place by its positive contributions to the society.

I am grateful to KV 2 Halwara family for cooperating me to take the school to newer heights when I served as Principal of this Vidyalaya. I got to share my thoughts on education and work on creating a positive outlook to the joy of learning. KV 2 Halwara will always be my ‘happy place’ – a home away from home. I wish this Vidyalaya and all associated with it a very bright and successful future.

केन्द्रीय विद्यालय नं २, हलवारा’ की आन-बान और शान सदा बनी रहे............अनंत शुभकामनाएँ।
एक शिक्षिका के रूप में मेरी यात्रा का प्रस्थान-बिंदु ‘केन्द्रीय विद्यालय नं २, हलवारा’ था —एक ऐसा विद्यालय जिसने शिक्षिका के रूप में मुझे गढ़ा ही नहीं, अपितु सँवारा भी। अपने शिक्षण-कौशल को बेहतर बनाने के सर्वाधिक पाठ मैंने इसी विद्यालय-परिवार में पढ़े और उन पाठों के ही बल पर बाद में महाविद्यालय और विश्वविद्यालय तक की मेरी अध्यापन-यात्रा सरल-सुगम बन सकी। आज स्मृतियों के सहारे जब उस समय में फिर से पैठती हूँ तो याद आता है कि स्नेह और सद्भाव से युक्त अनुशासन इस विद्यालय के परिवेश को एक ऐसी गरिमा प्रदान करता था जिसमें इस विद्यालय-परिवार के प्रत्येक सदस्य का व्यक्तित्व अपने सर्वोत्तम रूप में खुलता –खिलता था। इस सहज-सुन्दर-गरिमामय परिवेश के निर्माण में सबसे बड़ी भूमिका तत्कालीन प्राचार्य श्री संजीवन जैन जी की थी।

अपने व्यवहार एवं आचरण द्वारा वे श्रमनिष्ठा तथा अनुशासन का पाठ अनायास ही पढ़ा देते थे। विद्यालय उनके नेतृत्व में अकादमिक तथा ग़ैर-अकादमिक दोनों ही क्षेत्रों में उत्कृष्टता हासिल करता जा रहा था। अध्यापक-वर्ग अपने ज्ञान की लौ तो विद्यार्थियों में जगाता ही था, मानवीय मूल्यों में उनकी आस्था जगा कर उन्हें एक श्रेष्ठ मनुष्य बनाने की दिशा में भी समर्पण-भाव से जुटा रहता था। शायद यह उन्हीं समवेत प्रयासों का सुफल है कि इस विद्यालय के विद्यार्थी देश-विदेश में नित नयी उपलब्धियाँ हासिल करते जा रहे हैं और आज लगभग चार दशकों बाद भी मुझसे और अन्य गुरुजनों से उसी स्नेह-सूत्र में बँधे हैं। कहते हैं कि इंसान अपना पहला प्यार कभी नहीं भूलता। एक शिक्षिका के रूप में ‘केन्द्रीय विद्यालय नं २, हलवारा’ मेरा पहला प्यार था। कल भी था, आज भी है और सदा रहेगा।

आप जैसे विद्यार्थी का कोई अध्यापक
अध्यापक और विद्यार्थी का रिश्ता समय के साथ परिपक्व होकर प्रेम और अनुशासन से ही बन पाता है | उस प्रेम और अनुशासन की बागडोर अध्यापक छात्र के भविष्य के हाथ देना चाहता है | जब हम विद्यार्थी होते हैं तो हमें ऐसे किसी सम्बन्ध की कोई समझ नहीं होती | कोई समझाए तब हम इसे मात्र भावुक प्रवचन कह कर हवा में फूंक से उड़ा देते हैं | लेकिन कुछ साल बाद जब हम जिंदगी की जद्दोज़हद में सही से जीना सीख रहे होते हैं , कई बार ऐसा भी प्रतीत होने लगता है जब सब कुछ रुका हुआ प्रतीत होने लगता है | उस वक्त हम पीछे मुड कर देखते हैं तब अपने विद्यालय के गलियारों से गुजरना याद करते हैं |

याद आता है कक्षा का वह कक्ष वह बेंच जहाँ आप बैठते थे | वो दोस्त जिनके साथ दसियों बार लड़ते थे और बीसियों बार उनके गले लगते थे | याद आते हैं वह तमाम अध्यापक जो अखरोट की तरह बहार से सख्त लेकिन भीतर से गुणकारी गिज़ां थे | उस वक्त उनकी सख्ती पर गुस्सा आता था | मन ही मन खूब कोसते | लेकिन आज लगता है वह सख्ती न होती तो जीवन की जंग लड़ने के लिए हमारे रक्त में रत्ती भर भी लोहा नहीं पाते | संजीदा अध्यापक की एक मुस्कान आप में ऊर्जा भर देती थी | सब याद आता है, वह एक एक पल जब अध्यापक आपके साथ रहते थे |

याद आता है वह पल जब अध्यापक गणित अध्यापक ने उसे शोर्ट कट मारने पर डांटा था | हिंदी अध्यापक ने क्यों कहा था मन हो रोने का तो रो लो और फिर खुद से सवाल करो | इतिहास के अध्यापक उसे पुरात्तत्व अवशेषों के विश्लेषण करने को क्यों कहते थे | विज्ञान की मैडम क्यों कहती थी मशीनों से बातें करो | और प्राइमरी की वो टीचर जिसने उसे पहली बार स्कूल के बोटोनिकल गार्डन में केंचुआ दिखाते हुए धरती से केंचुए का रिश्ता समझाया | कैसे उसने आम की गुठली धरती में बोने को कहा और फिर उसमे से पौधा निकलने की प्रतीक्षा करना सिखाया | इसी तरीके से मैडम ने उनके भीतर धैर्य का बीज भी बो दिया था |

आज जो भी विद्यार्थी एक बार फिर से अपने अध्यापकों से मिल रहे हैं और उम्र के उसी पड़ाव में उतर कर उस अहसास को जीना चाहते हैं, वे एक बार जरुर सोचें इन अध्यापकों के बारे, में जो उन्हें पुस्तक से बाहर बिखरे ज्ञान के संसार से अवगत करवाते रहे |

वरिष्ठ हिंदी कवि नरेश सक्सेना की कविता की तरह बताते रहे |
“पुल पार करने से तो पुल पार होता है, नदी पार नहीं होती |”
पुल पार करना सिखाते तो आसान रास्ता होता लेकिन उन्होंने नदी पार करना सिखाया | और यह भी बताया कि पुल पार करने से तो पुल ही पार होता है, नदी पार नहीं होती | नदी कभी भी नदी में धंसे बिना पार नहीं होती |

यह सब अहसास उस वक्त पता नहीं चलते जब सब विद्यार्थी होते हैं | जब विद्यार्थी जीवन से निकल कर्म भूमि में प्रवेश करते हैं तब पता चलता है कि उस वक्त अध्यापक ने उसे पुल पार करना छोड़ कर नदी पार करना क्यों सिखाया था |

यह प्रक्रिया उसी तरह होती है जैसे हम बड़े होने पर अपने पिता के कठोर व्यवहार के पीछे छुपे प्रेम को समझ पाते हैं तब आप जवान हो रहे होते हैं और पिता बूढ़े | लेकिन पिता और अध्यापक की दुआएं शुभेच्छाएं हमेशा आपके साथ रहती हैं आपकी रक्षा करती हैं अदृश्य अस्त्र शस्त्र बन कर | विद्यार्थी और अध्यापक का मिलन हमेशा की तरह सुखद हो ऐसी ही कामनाओं के साथ ……….!
